Let’s take a pause together and check in. You know what that means, right?
Slow and intentional breath in. And out.
How are you?
Is the wind howling where you are? Carrying reminders that it’s almost Winter – that it’s time to bunker down. It makes me want to hibernate until the daffodils start to bloom.
But it’s not quite that time of year yet, it is?
As the temperature dips, the events on the calendar seem to be doing the opposite. So as I check the obligatory holiday events off my list, I’m reminded to create space within myself, quiet calm space to retreat to. Space where I can find the solace I need, even just for a moment. To pause, to reflect, to reset. Beginning again with a renewed sense of awareness…of whatever is happening in the moment. There in that space we remember it’s ok to slow down. To feel the energy of the present, in whatever state it’s in. Even if you feel like you’re on a busy street, everyone around you in a rush, time moving much too quickly. Pause and look out at life as if it were a holiday window display. Noticing the details. Pressing your head against the glass to admire your favorite parts. Letting it etch a memory in your mind. Giving yourself permission to slow down.
You take a breath, let it out with a sigh, and continue on your way.
