Happy Monday!

I’ve missed writing to you. It’s been quite hectic over here with the school year starting and with it the many volunteer opportunities I’ve found myself signed up for. But I have thought of you often, especially in my moments of stillness, which I try to get as often as I can.

But as the Summer draws to a close, those slow-down vibes have shifted as well. And the more involved I get in the outside world, the more I have to make it a point to balance life out with mindfulness. Except the more hectic life gets, the less time I have for long meditations and yoga classes. Sometimes a few quick quiet moments are all I get.

But I’ll take it! And in those moments, instead of scrolling on social media or sending a text, I turn to the breath. Taking even just one intentional breath can make a world of difference in the moment, and it’s a great foundation on which to start your mindfulness journey. You’re likely to find it feels so good, you’ll want to take another, and another, and another. Before you know it, a few minutes have passed and you’re ready to re-enter any situation feeling calmer and more dialed in.

I’ll be talking more about this as the weeks go by and we enter into this new Fall season. Fall has so much wonderful energy to offer and it’s an important time to focus on ourselves as we transition toward the colder months of Winter.

But for now, I hope you enjoy these last few days of Summer. I look forward to sharing lots more with you soon!
