Happy Monday!

The last of the year!

And quite the year it’s been.

So where do we go from here?

Reflect back?

Look ahead?

Or perhaps, we attempt to sit in the present, noticing what is; the energy within and without, and go from there.

It’s amazing how easy it is to overlook the present – especially when it’s often the easiest moment we’ve got.

That may sound strange – especially when you’re dealing with discomfort. But I’ve come to learn that discomfort is so often attached to what we expect to come or what was. The present just is.

And the present is where we gain our strength – the knowledge and the purpose to bring with us into the next moment and the next.

Of course it’s good to set goals and learn from the past, but we aren’t the same person we were back then, and we don’t know who we will be in the future. We are only the person we are right now – and the only moment we know to be true is what’s already right here.

So as you ring in a new year tomorrow – take a moment to sit in the present.

Maybe even close your eyes and take in the breath. Feel whatever is.

If it feels good – soak it up. If there’s something you feel needs to change, set your intention, and begin again.

And remember, this exercise isn’t just for tomorrow. It’s for everyday, or every moment you feel needs the practice.

If you need some guidance, here’s a meditation to help you connect with your intentions and bring them into your everyday life.

Have a beautiful day and the last moments of 2024, friend.

As they say, I’ll see you next year!

Bye for now!
