Hello!

Happy Monday!

I missed you last week. I was on a fantastic journey along the East Coast, from the hustle of New York down to the warmth of Florida and back again. It was just me and my husband, leaving the kids behind for nine days of adventure and relaxation. We found ourselves torn between diving into every new place and simply soaking it all in. I often wondered about the “right” way to experience a destination. But looking back now, I realize there isn’t a single right way. It’s all about what feels right for you.

In Raleigh, I had an interesting chat with a local who said you can’t truly claim to have visited a state unless you’ve spent 72 hours there. While I don’t necessarily agree with that, I get where he’s coming from. Maybe it takes that long for some people to really absorb the essence of a place – to go beyond the surface and grasp its true character. Personally, whenever I travel, I make it a point to carve out moments to just be present – to observe, to listen, to truly connect with my surroundings. These moments of mindful presence are what I treasure most from my travels.

And it’s what I treasure most about the practice of meditation – pausing to fully engage the senses and embrace the moment — to truly experience my time here as best as I can.

As the Spring season unfolds around you this week, remember to pause and take it all in. It’s a time of constant transformation, where every moment offers something new to discover. With nature ever-changing and evolving, sometimes it feels like we barely have 72 hours to truly appreciate it all. So, seize those moments to soak in the beauty of the blooming world around you!

If you need some help, visit my YouTube channel. New guided meditations are posted regularly — I create them just for you — to help you settle into the present and see what you notice.

And Creating Space Within meets each Monday at 9:30 am ET over Zoom. We’d love to see you there!

Two last plugs before I leave you to the rest of your day.

Monday, May 20th is my next Sound Bath Meditation. It’s at 7pm at Fire and Ice Wellness Lounge. It’s $25 to attend. Space is limited so registration is required. Send me a message if you need some help signing up.

Also coming up is our Meditation Meet-up at the Seaford Historical Museum. It’s at 7pm on May 14th. All are welcome. It’s just a $5 museum donation to attend.

That’s all from me today. I hope you have a beautiful week.

Be well!

And bye for now!
